Postdoctoral Research Associate

The Division of Biology and Medicine at Brown is composed of the Warren Alpert Medical School and the Program in Biology; it is a leading research center and home to world-renowned scientists.

A postdoctoral research associate position is immediately available with the academic appointment through The Division of Biology and Medicine in the laboratories located in the affiliated Division of Surgical Research, Department of Surgery, Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI.

The project includes studies of microbiome in a mouse model of asthma, linking epigenetic, immune and inflammatory mechanisms of the disease to the role of microbes. We invite those interested in microbiome in vivo studies and with experience in mouse models.

The potential candidate will have an MD or PhD degree in molecular biology, cell biology, immunology, epigenetics, bioengineering, veterinary sciences or another relevant discipline. A perfect candidate will have prior experience with asthma models in rodents as well as in basic tissue culture and molecular biology techniques. Expertise in molecular cloning and protein overexpression will be an additional plus. The position requires the ability to work independently. Excellent communication skills are a must. The candidate should be eligible for employment in the US.
