Postdoctoral Research Associate/Instructor position are available immediately to study skin immunology, tissue resident macrophages [lung alveolar microphage, liver Kupffer cells, and skin Langerhans cells (J Allergy Clin Immunol. 2018 Sep;142(3):976-978; Nat Commun. 2020 Jul 30;11(1):3822)], NKT cells, and MAIT cells (J Immunol. 2019 Dec 15;203(12):3256-3267; Front Cell Dev Biol. 2020 May 26;8:384) in Henry Ford Immunology Program/Henry Ford Cancer Institute and Center for Cutaneous Biology and Immunology/Department of Dermatology. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or MD/PhD in molecular biology or immunology.  The background knowledges in tissue resident macrophages, NKT cells and MAIT cells, skin Immunology, cancer Immunology, with some mouse and FACS experience, are desirable.  Candidates should be career orientated, self-motivated and possess good communication skills.  The successful candidate will join a team using diverse approaches (single cells-RNA-Seq, ATAC-Seq, ChIP-Seq, CyToF, and different gene delivery systems) to understand the molecular mechanisms controlling immune cell development and their functions in autoimmunity and cancer immunity.  A complete application will include curriculum vitae with a research interest and the names and contact information of three references.  All materials should be sent to Dr. Qing-Sheng Mi (, Director, Henry Ford Immunology Program, Henry Ford Health System, 1 Ford Place, Detroit, MI 48202.
