Postdoctoral Position in Human Genomics of Arrhythmias
Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine
Center for Genetic Medicine

A postdoctoral position is available to investigate the human genetic risk factors for sudden cardiac death, cardiac arrhythmias and atrial fibrillation as part of strategically focused research networks supported by the American Heart Association at Northwestern University.  Training will be carried out in a highly collaborative environment that integrates genomics/bioinformatics with arrhythmia phenotype modeling in human cells.  The goals of the program include the identification of genetic signatures to predict arrhythmia event risk, integration of genetic findings with electronic health record data, and modeling disease risk in relevant human cells.  Opportunities to expand research into other areas are also available, including collaborative investigation and mentorship from more than one laboratory.

Applicants should have a PhD and/or MD and interest in postdoctoral training.  Applicants with bioinformatics and/or computational genomics experience are strongly encouraged.  The applicant must be able to work within a collaborative team.

To apply, please submit a copy of your CV or NIH Biosketch along with the names and contact information of three references to cgm@northwestern.edu.  Please include “Postdoctoral Positions in Human Genetics and Human Genetic Mechanisms of Arrhythmias” in the subject field of the email.

Northwestern University is an Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action Employer of all protected classes, including veterans and individuals with disabilities. Women, racial and ethnic minorities, individuals with disabilities, and veterans are encouraged to apply. Hiring is contingent upon eligibility to work in the United States.
