The Harvard Medical School Department of Biomedical Informatics (DBMI.hms.harvard.edu) at the Blavatnik Institute is seeking a junior faculty member to take a leadership role in applying machine learning to the diagnosis and treatment of disease.

Medicine is going to be changed by the application of machine learning techniques to healthcare care and discovery. DBMI is looking for AI/ML researchers interested in joining our tenure-track faculty to help lead research to effect that change in the most effective, safe and rapid way.  Successful applicants will have had experience working in the medical task domain using healthcare data with scholarly publications documenting their work.

Demonstrated academic performance and a record of mentorship is equally important as is as a deep interest to mentor a new generation of talented biomedical informatics researchers.

Appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor of Biomedical Informatics will be commensurate with experience, training, and achievements in addition to teaching activities.

We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, pregnancy or pregnancy-related conditions or any other characteristic protected by law.
