This is an entry level PhD position for an experienced immunologist. Incumbent will be responsible for the development of novel immune profiling assays in support of various Pfizer vaccine programs from vaccine discovery through clinical development. The candidate will also be responsible for training and support of other scientists within the department.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Develop, optimize, and qualify cell-based assays for preclinical and clinical use
  • Evaluate novel immune profiling technologies
  • Advise vaccine program teams on microfluidics-based solutions to vaccine research problems
  • Establish single cell sequencing platform to analyze innate and adaptive immune responses
  • Present progress on assay development and sample analysis to senior management and project leadership
  • Continuously investigate novel platforms and technologies

  • PhD in biological sciences
  • 2+ years of postdoctoral research and a strong background in immunology, microbiology and virology
  • Demonstrated expertise in multi-color flow cytometry (preferably also spectral cytometry) and cell-mediated immune assays (e.g. ELISPOT)
  • Demonstrated expertise in single cell sequencing technology
  • Demonstrated experience with single cell sequencing data analysis and relevant software tools
  • Track record of analyzing antigen specific cellular immune responses
