The Department of Pathology at the Yale School of Medicine is seeking an accomplished investigator (MD, MD/PhD, or Ph.D.) to build or extend an impactful research program in any one of several areas of biomedicine.  It is anticipated that the successful candidate will be awarded the Joseph and Lucille Madri endowed Professorship and appointed on the tenure track at the Associate Professorial or Professorial level, depending on their seniority and accomplishments.  Areas of potential interest include the biology of aging, cancer immunology, hematopathology, epigenetics, systems biology, and Therapeutic development, but other areas will also be considered. 

Successful candidates will have demonstrated leadership skills and an outstanding record of competitive and impactful research.  The candidate will be expected to maintain a vigorous, creative, externally funded research program that complements those of current faculty or that builds new strengths. Other responsibilities will include contributions to Yale’s educational missions and, if appropriate, its clinical programs. Candidates are expected to have a strong commitment to fostering diversity within the Department and University.
