Postdoctoral position supported by NIH and Global Impact Initiative are available in the laboratory of Dr. Dohun Pyeon (http://www.pyeonlab.org/) at Michigan State University. Our research group is uniquely positioned to carry out basic and translational research and uses combined approaches with patient specimens, various virus production methods, in vitro cell culture systems, and immunocompetent mouse models.
Successful candidates will lead a project to develop novel cancer immunotherapy using recombinant viral vectors and synthetic biology tools. Candidates must have a recent Ph.D. degree in a related field along with lead-author publications, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently within a research team. Candidates who pursue an independent career path are highly preferred. Expertise in cancer immunology, viral vectors, and/or mouse models is also desirable. We will provide a competitive salary at the NIH postdoctoral stipend level, excellent benefits, and one-on-one mentoring and coaching for a successful research career.
