Assistant Professor

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), a major teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, seeks applications for the position of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in the Center for Virology and Vaccine Research (CVVR).  The successful applicant will have a substantial track record of productive research and will hold a PhD and/or MD degree.  Candidates should also have demonstrated the ability to work collaboratively.  Academic rank will be determined in accordance with the successful candidate’s experience and productivity. CVVR is primarily, but not exclusively, focused on virology, immunology, and vaccinology of infectious diseases.

Start-up packages and shared access to state-of-the-art research facilities will be available. CVVR has particular interest in recruiting individuals with research programs in basic and applied immunology, basic and applied virology, vaccinology, structural biology, systems biology, and immune correlates of protection.  CVVR offers a supportive and vibrant scientific community that values building a diverse faculty and staff and mentoring junior faculty.
