ROLE SUMMARY

The Ligand-Binding Immunoassay Team generates immunoassay data in a high-throughput setting under cGLP regulations to support Pfizer vaccine programs. The purpose of this position is to perform various aspects of ligand binding immunoassays to support toxicology and clinical studies including sample preparation, reagent preparation, equipment maintenance, tracking of laboratory consumables, assay development/QC activities and data review, when required.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performs various duties to assist in assay throughput, to complete the testing of human and animal samples from clinical and toxicology studies, including sample prep, reagent preparation, assay performance and data review, when required.
  • Documents all aspects of assay throughput, to keep accurate, clear and complete records.
  • Performs assays to support critical assay reagent testing and qualification, assay development and troubleshooting
  • Assists with updating and writing documents associated with ligand binding immunoassays, including SOP, reports and data archiving
  • Satisfactorily completes all cGMP/GLP and safety training in conformance with departmental requirements
  • Presents experimental results at group meetings and project meetings, when required. Prepares progress reports, when required.
  • Where applicable, performs job responsibilities in compliance with cGMP/GLP and all other regulatory agency requirements
  • All other job duties as assigned


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in biology, microbiology, molecular biology or chemistry
  • 0-3 years of experience in a relevant field
  • Hands on experience in a laboratory setting


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Experience pipetting
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment
