ROLE SUMMARY

The qualified candidate will join the Analytical R&D organization and contribute to the development of biological therapeutic candidates through innovation and delivery of cutting edge analytical testing. The qualified candidate will primarily perform laboratory activities and data generation and review as a part of an organization that focuses on method validation and transfer of analytical methods and technologies for biological therapeutics.

The group is responsible for the validation and late-stage analytical lifecycle management of quality controlled methods as they are established in commercial manufacturing sites. Qualified candidates will deliver results in a fast paced matrix-oriented setting, and be a contributor to method validations and transfers. The role is in support of products and process development for biotherapeutics and vaccines, including antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates, and therapeutic proteins, in late-stage clinical development.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Candidate should have a good foundation of laboratory operations and scientific principles. They will be involved in laboratory execution of protocols, data generation, analysis, and review for method validation activities to support process qualification and commercial launch.

The candidate is responsible for becoming proficient in a breadth of analytical methodologies including HPLC, electrophoresis, and other relevant assays applied to the QC testing of biotherapeutics and vaccines. The colleague must be able to interact effectively with peers and leaders as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The candidate must thrive in a fast-paced matrixed environment. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask and effective interpersonal and communication skills are required. Documentation of analytical results in regulated systems is required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor'sDegree with 2-4 years of experience OR Master's Degree with 0-2 years of experience with a degree in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biology immunology, molecular biology, or related field
  • Laboratory experience in a variety of analytical laboratory techniques. Ability to follow established procedures independently.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment (e.g. GLP, cGMP). Some knowledge or experience with method validations and method transfers to commercial manufacturing receiving labs.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • M.S. Degree in above, plus coursework in quantitative analysis, statistical analysis, biochemistry.
  • Experience in quantitative analysis, statistical analysis, biochemistry.0-2 years of experience.
  • Laboratory experience in a variety of analytical laboratory techniques. Ability to follow established procedures independently.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment (e.g. GLP, cGMP).
  • Some knowledge or experience with method validations and method transfers to commercial manufacturing receiving labs.
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Self-motivated and highly effective in a team-based environment.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in analysis of large molecules.
  • Experience with laboratory data systems such as Laboratory Information Management Systems.


PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Position requires occasional light lifting and periods of standing, sitting or walking.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and ability to perform complex data analysis.

  • Occasional work-related travel may be needed.
