What You Will Achieve

The Pfizer Vaccine Diagnostics Team generates immunoassay data in a High-Throughput setting under cGLP regulations to support Pfizer vaccine programs. The purpose of this position is to perform various aspects of Luminex-based immunoassays to support toxicology and clinical studies including sample preparation, reagent preparation, equipment maintenance, tracking of laboratory consumables and assay development/QC activities when required.

How You Will Achieve It
  • Perform Manual and Robotic Luminex and Diagnostic assays to support clinical testing, reagent qualification and release testing following protocols and SOPs.
  • Perform initial reagent qualification data analysis and compile data for presentation to team.
  • Perform aliquoting and labeling reagents as required.
  • Take responsibility for entry, storage, and distribution (both physical and electronic) of reagents used for clinical testing.
  • Interact with external vendors to obtain quotes, and purchase reagents for clinical testing.
  • Where applicable, performs job responsibilities in compliance with cGMP/GLP and all other regulatory agency requirements.
  • Satisfactorily completes all safety training in conformance with Departmental requirements.
  • Stay current on all departmental and corporate training.


Qualifications

Must-Have
  • Bachelor's Degree with 0-2 years experience.
  • Laboratory experience in a relevant field of science.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to collaborate and work in team environment.
  • Good Computer skills including word processing, Excel, PowerPoint and relevant scientific software.


Nice-to-Have
  • Pharmaceutical and biotech drug discovery experience.
  • Knowledge of Luminex technology.
  • Basic understanding of common statistical calculations.


PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Work is primarily performed at the laboratory bench and at an office desk using a computer.


NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
  • This position requires occasional weekend work to meet critical timelines.
