Postdoctoral Research Scientist

A Postdoctoral Research Scientist position is available immediately in the Laboratory
for Stem Cells and Tissue Engineering that is led by Dr Gordana Vunjak-Novakovic.
We are looking for talented, enthusiastic and highly accomplished PhD or MD/PhD
graduates with interest in tissue engineering research and strong ability for
collaboration and team work.

The position is for cardiac tissue engineering, with emphasis on generating functional, adult-like vascularized cardiac muscle using gene editing and tissue engineering methodologies (projects funded by NHLBI and New York State). Background and experience in one or more of the following areas is required: cell and tissue engineering, cardiac biology, vascular biology, microfluidics, molecular biology and optogenetics.
