The Department of Surgery is searching for a candidate to fill the Research Specialist Role in Dr. Ajay Rana’s Lab.
Key Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Perform experiments assigned by PI
- Perform surveys, interviews, observations or uses other methods according to established research protocols.
- Prepare data for analysis and execute details of studies. Perform analysis and document results.
- Maintaining different transgenic and knockout mice models in the laboratory.
- Accountable for generating tumors in these animals and do required survival surgeries.
- Participate in routine laboratory maintenance
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a science or related field required.
Knowledge of fundamental research concepts, practices and procedures.
3 years’ experience with operating on mice
