In the Web of Sciences ESI ranking, all research catalogs related biology and medicine for University of Cincinnati fall into top 1% globally.

UC is one of the largest employers in the Cincinnati region, employing over 15,000 full time and part time faculty, staff and student workers.

The University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine, Department of Cancer Biology is seeking Post Doctoral Fellows to work in the Dr. Jun-Lin Guan laboratory.

The Postdoctoral position available to pursue basic and translational cancer research in Dr. Jun-Lin Guan’s laboratory at University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Research in Dr. Guan’s laboratory aims to understand the fundamental principles of cell signaling in the regulation of basic cellular functions in normal cell and developmental processes and to determine how the disruption of normal signaling pathways lead to diseases such as cancer. Current studies include the analysis of FIP200 and other autophagy genes in breast cancer and neural stem cells, mTORC1 signaling in vascular and other tumors and its cross-talk with autophagy. We use a variety of genetically engineered mouse models combined with molecular, cellular and functional genomic approaches to gain mechanistic insights of critical molecules and their complex signaling networks in vivo.
