Research Assistant Professor - Gastroenterology

The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition, is searching for a Research Assistant Professor who will contribute to a research project on host-microbe interactions, and epithelial development and function in the gastrointestinal tract. The appointee’s primary activity will be to conduct academic research in association with a faculty member or team. The appointee will complement these existing areas of strength and contribute to project conception and execution.  We especially welcome applicants with expertise in any of these areas: intestinal epithelial biology, inflammatory bowel diseases, host-microbe interactions, stem cell biology, signal transduction, and/or factors/processes involved in the development of the gut mucosa and immune systems. 

Applicants must have 1) a doctoral degree or equivalent in biologically-related sciences, or related disciplines, and 2) completed postdoctoral training prior to the start of employment.
