The Department of Integrative Biology and Pharmacology in the McGovern Medical School invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor studying regulation of cell signaling and its impact on cell and systems biology. We are especially interested in applicants using biochemical, genetic, proteomic, structural, computational, or imaging approaches to interrogate fundamental mechanistic questions at the molecular, cellular, and organismal levels. The most competitive candidates will bring complementary expertise to a highly interactive, multi-disciplinary department with research interests ranging from basic membrane biology and molecular pharmacology to whole animal physiology and pathology. Highly qualified applicants with substantial extramural funding may also be considered for an Associate Professor position. Responsibilities include development of an extramurally funded, internationally recognized research program and active participation in medical and graduate education. McGovern Medical School is a part of the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) and is located within the Texas Medical Center, which also includes Baylor College of Medicine, Rice University, and M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
