This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
  • Represent DMPK in discovery and development small molecule and biologics project teams. Initiate and engage in multifunctional collaborations to facilitate the advancement of drug candidates and build thorough knowledge of Pharmacokinetic properties
  • Develop and interpret ELISA and mass spec-based methods (e.g. LC-MS and LC-MS/MS) and perform analysis for the characterization and quantitation of small and large molecules, as well as evaluation of therapeutic proteins, including protein digestion and peptide separation and quantitation
  • Plan in vivo PK studies and work with CRO's to conduct such studies; use appropriate Pharmacokinetic software to analyze results, prepare documents and present data
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to write and review non GLP and GMP/GLP protocols and SOPs, candidate selection documents and other relevant documents necessary in advancing pharmaceutical compounds

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • PhD degree focused in Pharmacokinetics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacology or related discipline
  • 5+ years of relevant industrial experience in biotech or pharmaceutical industry with demonstrated impact on small molecules and biologics drug discovery and/or development
  • Experience with conducting Pharmacokinetic in vitro and in vivo studies, interpretation and analysis of the data and presentation of the results
  • Working experience with advancing small molecules from Research to Development, including all associated in vitro and in vivo studies as well as human dose prediction.
  • Familiarity with biologics and working experience with advancing large molecules (proteins, mAbs, etc.) to development


Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
  • Experience with Pharmacokinetic software programs such as Phoenix WinNonlin to calculate pharmacokinetic parameters
  • Experience with quantitative methods for small and large molecules such as LC-MS/MS and ELISA.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with tissue, cellular, sub-cellular, enzymatic and related biochemical methods used for characterization of potential immunological or other pharmacokinetic interactions, such as drug-drug interactions.
  • Experience with modelling systems that experience Target Mediated Drug Disposition and translation of preclinical data to clinical dose prediction is desirable
  • Pharmacokinetic understanding and rapid progression of parentally administered long-acting compounds is also desirable
  • A highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • An instinctive team player with excellent people skills
