What You Will Achieve

The Pfizer Rotational Development Program (RDP) is an entry-level, two-year assignment rotation program designed to provide recent graduates accelerated training in the Pfizer Global Supply field with focus on Gene Therapy Operations and process transfers. The program offers real world, hands-on experience in important roles and projects to the company while promoting personal and professional growth for the participants. After completion of the program the associate will join one of the functions of the Gene Therapy team.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Be responsible to deliver on key goals and objectives and contribute to the overall success of the Gene therapy programs.
  • Rotate through approximately two to four challenging, demanding and diverse assignments in different disciplines targeted to provide career growth and experience.
  • Develop and enhance your communication skills as you may be responsible for supervising others, participating in meetings, and providing presentations to other Pfizer personnel at all levels of the organization.
  • Have the opportunity to gain experience in multiple disciplines that may include Manufacturing,Quality, Operational Excellence, Technical Services, Operations, Supply Chain, Process Transfer and Validation and others.
  • Be paired with program mentors who provide guidance and oversight of your development in the program.
  • Obtain training focused to support your professional growth and development.
  • Be certified in Lean/Six Sigma and obtain your Yellow Belt
  • Report to a department manager in each assignment who will oversee your day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.


Qualifications

Must-Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g. Biomedical Engineering, Chemical, Mechanical,) or Life Sciences (e.g. Biology, Biochemistry, Virology, Microbiology)
  • Strong academic performance (minimum 3.3 GPA preferred)
  • Previous work, internship or co-op experience
  • Strong team skills with demonstrated leadership ability
  • Passion for learning and pursuing a career in the health care industry
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven track record of teamwork, adaptability, innovation and initiative


PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Lifting, sitting, standing, walking, bending, ability to perform mathematical calculations and ability to perform complex data analysis. Does not include requirements that are generally applicable to most or all jobs at Pfizer, such as "ability to communicate," "ability to work on teams", "office job involving use of computer", etc. Work environment will include both office setting and manufacturing setting

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Shift work and overtime may be required during certain rotational assignments. Little if any travel required.
