ROLE SUMMARY

The Pfizer Global Medical Grants (GMG) program, aligned with Pfizer business interests, allows for the support of independent research, and dissemination of emerging science to close knowledge and practice gaps, while helping to build the capabilities of healthcare systems to plan for and manage change. The Sr. Operations Associate will work as part of a highly matrixed team, interacting with team members within GMG and Medical Operations Platform Services (MOPS), as well as with stakeholders from inside and outside of the company to support grant operations in an efficient and compliant manner. Those in this role will 1) Provide support for clinical drug supply process m 2) Provide Global Medical Grants System (GMGS) support 3) Provide support for competitive grant programs.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

For all grant /project types (Investigator Sponsored Research, General Research, Independent Medical Education, Quality Improvement and Clinical Research Collaborations (CRCs)):

Clinical Drug Supply Process Support Subject Matter Expert:

Working closely with Grant Management Team and Supply Chain Coordinators:

Develop expertise in the drug supply process and utilise knowledge to:

  • Liaise with Global Clinical Supply colleagues to implement supply chain strategies to ensure appropriate supply is available to support ISRs and CRCs across all therapeutic areas


  • Provide key input to teams related to availability/feasibility of providing clinical drug supply as requested by ISR/CRC investigators


  • Track clinical studies to ensure adequate drug coverage for duration of the research studies


  • Collaborate with Global Clinical Supply (GCS) and ensures appropriate documentation is provided to sites for regulatory submission


  • Develop and implement solutions for more effective drug supply process management


  • Liaise with external stakeholders to ensure prompt supply of necessary study supplies

Grant System Support

Working Closely with GMGS Operations Manager:

Understand the various complexities and nuances of grant management to:
  • Develop and implement the process for user access request for the Pfizer Global Medical Grant System (GMGS)- review access requests, determine the appropriate level of access required and work with Business Operations to implement


  • Coordinate with stakeholders in GMG, MOPS and other relevant internal and external stakeholders to review the process for GMGS workflow changes/customizations and to support the logistics for such implementations


  • Monitor and respond to GMG Mailbox for system related queries received from internal (Grant Administrators/Medical Affairs) and external stakeholders (Grant Seekers)


  • Assist Grant Management Team in migration of grants from legacy database to new Global Medical Grants System (GMGS) and resolve any complications that arise during the process


  • Conduct financial operations: Finance Operations, assist with budget management, accruals, and forecasting


Competitive Grant Program Support

Working Closely with Grant Management Team:
  • Support the Grant Management team in conducting administrative activity to connected to competitive grant programmes as necessary -support report generation and admin support for Expert Review Panel (ERP)meetings, liaise with Grant Seekers.
  • Manage the ERP engagement process


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree required; a Master's Degree in a clinical background a plus
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in grant operations, clinical supply, clinical trial management, or a similar research operations role
  • Knowledge of Pfizer's independent grants process and programs preferred
  • Previous experience with CyberGrants or other grants system preferred
  • Capable of working independently on multiple projects with ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to operate effectively in a highly matrixed environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Commitment to process improvement


NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Availability to attend meetings periodic meetings during working hours for Asian time zones
