Position Summary
Senior Associate Scientist positions are available in the laboratory of Andrea Bild at the City of Hope Cancer Institute for a creative and motivated individual to work on a project associated with breast tumor heterogeneity, subclonal evolution, and response to drug therapy. This recently funded project is part of the prestigious Cancer Systems Biology Consortium: https://www.cancer.gov/about-nci/organization/dcb/research-programs/csbc .

The scientist will study the evolution of tumor heterogeneity during development of refractory disease. The project involves analysis of patient cells in 3-dimensional cultures, drug screening, and oncogenic signaling in refractory tumor cells. The scientist will work closely with the PI in developing and implementing the project, together with a team of medical oncologists and systems biologists. The collaborative environment at City of Hope and the discovery-based nature of this project will foster multidisciplinary thinking, and will provide the potential for advancing expertise in cutting-edge technologies.

Qualifications
Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
  • Must have a Master's Degree in cell biology or related disciplines.
  • Must have at least 3 years of related experience.
Preferred education experience and skills:
  • Ph.D. in cell biology or related disciplines.
  • Peer-reviewed publications
