Position Summary
Dr. Alexey Danilov's team is looking for a highly motivated new member to lead a project investigating mechanisms of resistance to cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK) inhibitors. We are looking to extend our recent exciting findings to understand how CDKs modulates gene transcription in a cell and identify novel tractable targets. The specifics of the project will be tailored towards the individual's experience and interests.

Dr. Danilov receives funding from the National Institutes of Health, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, American Society of Hematology, and industry partners.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is capable and willing to make maximum use of excellent facilities and a productive environment.

Qualifications
Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
  • Ph.D. degree in biological science or related field
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of related laboratory experience during graduate studies is required
  • Experience in molecular biology or biochemistry
  • Understanding of molecular assays such as ChIP-Seq and ATAC-Seq (established in the Danilov laboratory) is desirable
  • Demonstrated capabilities and enthusiasm by peer-reviewed publications.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills: both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to perform and prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks
  • Ability to design and execute experiments, critically interpret experimental results, and present data in a cogent and meaningful manner
  • Ability to participate in the preparation of grant applications and publications
  • Highly motivated and self-directed applicants interested in translational research in cancer immunotherapy are strongly encouraged to apply. However, applicants with related training and experience will be given priority.
