Post-Doctoral Position in Neuroscience

Johns Hopkins University

We are establishing a Skeleton-Brain Interoception Research Center supported by a newly funded NIH Center Grant at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. We seek to hire highly motivated neuroscience post-doctoral fellows. The mission of the Center is to investigate how CNS regulates skeleton and related disorders and pain. Mechanical loading on the skeleton, such as exercise, improves brain function and metabolism. Aging of the skeleton also influences brain function with the development of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease. This is a multidisciplinary research program with faculty from Neuroscience, Orthopedics, Biology of Healthy Aging program, Endocrinology, Anesthesiology, Biomedical Engineering, Institute of Cell Engineering and Radiology. The positions would suit candidates in broad areas of neuroscience.  This is a great opportunity for post-doctoral fellows who enjoy working at the cutting edge of a rapidly moving CNS field.

These are post-doctoral positions located at the East Baltimore campus of Johns Hopkins. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and accomplishments. Applicants should send a letter of interest, CV, and the names of three references to Ms. Liming Zhang at lzhang56@jhmi.edu.
