What You Will Achieve

As a Senior Associate Scientist in the Immunogenicity Sciences group within the BioMedicine Design department, you will be at the center of ourindustry leading scienceand you'll find that everything we do, every day, is in line with an unwavering commitment to quality. You will have responsibility for executing laboratory-based predictive immunogenicity studies using in vitro cell-based assays. Working in close collaboration with the Immunogenicity Sciences team, you will significantly contribute to the immunogenicity risk assessment of our Pfizer biologics portfolio across an array of modalities and disease areas.

How You Will Achieve It
  • Under moderate supervision, conduct in vitro or other lab-based immunogenicity assessment experiments, analyze data and interpret results.
  • Isolate and culture various blood-derived cell types to support the Immunogenicity team and other partner lines in delivering high-value data in support of Pfizer biologics portfolio projects.
  • Significantly contribute to the team lab-based activities scheduling.
  • Contribute significantly to the implementation and continuous improvement of lab automation.
  • Effectively interact within Immunogenicity team to support project advancement.
  • Present and discuss on-going progress at weekly/monthly group meetings.


Qualifications

Must-Have
  • BS with 3+ years or thesis-based MS with 0-3 years industry experience in the field of biopharmaceuticals, leukocyte biology or immunology.
  • Basic understanding of perturbations of the immune system in diseases and signaling cascades.
  • Experience with cell culture techniques, immune cell-based in vitro assays and flow cytometry.
  • Proficiency in all common office and scientific software such as GraphPad Prism and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Scientific curiosity and ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities.
  • Outstanding organization skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The position requires an individual who will thrive within a team


Nice-to-Have

  • Industry experience with a focus in biotherapeutics.
  • Experience with PBMC isolation and storage.
  • Hands-on experience with automation.
  • Experienced in trouble shooting in vitro cell-based assays

  • Laboratory-based position requiring combination of sitting and standing.
