Associate Director, Brand Marketing - Foster City, CA

In this role, you'll report to the Director of HBV Marketing, this role will be responsible for:
  • Developing and implementing key promotional strategies and tactics.
  • Being a strategic partner across the team, shaping marketing strategy and developing promotional ideas based on market dynamics and customer/sales team feedback.
  • Leveraging data to identify and maximize business opportunities.
  • Managing multiple agency partners.
  • Leading cross-functional projects or serving as a key project team member.
  • Maintaining a high level of operational excellence for all deliverables and agencies.
  • Working closely with promotional review committee to ensure timeliness and compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and policies.
  • Developing and delivering presentations to a range of internal (US leadership, sales team, cross functional teams, etc.) and external audiences.
  • Leading by example, upholding Gilead core values of Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, Inclusion and Accountability.
  • Achieving budget targets.


Qualifications
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Previous brand marketing experience required.
  • 3+ years in product marketing or advertising focused on brand strategy.
  • Experience executing marketing tactics or initiatives.
  • Experience working with pharmaceutical industry datasets.
  • Strong operational excellence and cross functional partnership.
  • Willing to champion new ideas.
  • Flexibility to take on new and varied initiatives based on business need and priorities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field, Masters degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to travel 15% domestically to meet with the agencies, sales/team meetings
