FACULTY POSITION IN MOLECULAR THERAPEUTICS at FOX CHASE CANCER CENTER

The Fox Chase Cancer Center invites applicants for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of assistant or associate professor in the Molecular Therapeutics Program. The mission of the Molecular Therapeutics Program is to explore factors influencing tumor formation and therapeutic response at the level of protein structure and interactions, and to develop new agents or improve the application of existing clinical agents that selectively target tumors. The program is highly translational and collaborative, spanning laboratory scientists studying protein structure to clinical researchers performing trials with investigational drugs and new drug combinations. Current members of the Program use X-ray crystallography, NMR, and computational approaches to address kinases, antibodies, and other targets of high relevance to cancer etiology and cancer therapy.

For this search, we are particularly soliciting applications from candidates interested in the following areas:

  • Using chemical biology to control function of cancer-relevant protein targets
  • Using structural/biophysical approaches to study cancer-relevant proteins

We are especially eager to receive applications that would enhance current Fox Chase strengths in immunotherapy, cancer metabolism, or DNA repair. Successful applicants will join a highly interactive institution that is committed to bridging basic discovery to clinical application through collaboration, and has extensive core facilities to support such translation.

Fox Chase is an NCI designated Comprehensive Cancer Center focused on ameliorating the burden of cancer through basic, translational and clinical research.  Fox Chase encompasses 119 research faculty, and many highly skilled clinical colleagues that provide care for over 105,000 individuals annually, and are active in the performance of clinical trials. Applicants interested in joining Fox Chase should have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree with an outstanding record of research productivity. Fox Chase is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and welcomes applicants from groups currently under-represented in science. The application should contain the following information - a curriculum vitae, a brief (up to two pages) statement of research interests and future goals, and a list of three individuals providing letters of recommendation. Please send the application via email to Erica Golemis (Erica.Golemis@fccc.edu), Co-Leader, Molecular Therapeutics Program, Fox Chase Cancer Center.
