Recruitment is open for graduate student positions at the PhD level in the School of Informatics, Computing and Cyber Systems (SICCS) at Northern Arizona University (NAU). Emphasis areas in Ecoinformatics, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Cyber Security, and Electrical Engineering are available. Qualified students are eligible for research and teaching assistantships with highly-competitive stipends. SICCS’s mission is to conduct high-impact, innovative research in informatics with an emphasis on producing solutions that lead to benefits in human and environmental health.

Research opportunities are available in a broad variety of research areas supported by our faculty, including cybersecurity, wireless sensor and communication systems, cyber-physical systems, empirical software engineering, software testing, software architecture and visualization, computer graphics, machine learning, wearable computing, bioinformatics, population health, remote sensing, and ecological modeling.
