The Department of Cell Biology at Emory University School of Medicine seeks outstanding applicants to fill a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to complement department research interests in cell biology, developmental biology, and neuroscience (http://cellbio.emory.edu). This is a broad search open to investigators seeking to build a vigorous research program working on fundamental questions in molecular, cell, and developmental biology.

Desired applicants will have a Ph.D. or equivalent, post-doctoral experience, track record of productivity from graduate and postdoctoral research, and a commitment to increasing diversity and inclusion in STEM. A record of extramural funding is a plus. Active funding of two or more grants is required for consideration at the associate professor level. Recruits will participate in classroom instruction of medical and graduate students and contribute to a robust program of graduate-level research training that has placed Emory in the top tier of US national rankings for predoctoral NIH funding. Emory offers extensive opportunities for collaboration within our own biomedical research community, Emory College, and with neighboring institutions, including the Centers for Disease Control and surrounding colleges, such as Georgia Institute of Technology, Georgia State University, the Atlanta University Center Consortium of HBCUs, and UGA. The Atlanta metropolitan area continues to be rapidly growing, culturally diverse, and inclusive, offering an excellent and affordable quality of life.

The Department of Cell Biology currently has fourteen faculty with diverse basic research interests utilizing genetic model organisms and employing multidisciplinary approaches. The Department is positioned to undergo continued growth in the coming years and will offer competitive start-up, supportive environment, modern laboratory space, and access to state-of-the-art core facilities, including the Integrated Cellular Imaging Core Facility (https://www.cores.emory.edu/). We are committed to the recruitment and professional development of women and historically underrepresented individuals.
