Position description

The University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland (HES-SO) conducts translational research and development projects in strong partnership with industry. In the context of an Innosuisse project and in cooperation with a company active in the IVD field, we are looking for a highly motivated post-doctoral fellow with a strong interest in interdisciplinarity. The overall project aims at developing a novel rapid point-of-care test based on an innovative technology using Molecularly Imprinted Polymers (MIPs). The project will include the synthesis and optimization of MIPs as well as the design and development of analytical assays making use of the MIPs.


The ideal candidate should hold a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry or polymer chemistry. She or he should have experience in the synthesis/preparation of polymers, ideally of MIPs, their characterization, and their bioanalytical application (extraction, analytical/diagnostic). The candidate should be a good team player, a strong problem solver and be fluent in English. Contract duration: 12 months contract - renewable
