The Yale Cancer Center invites applications for a physician-scientist faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. Applicants should have a strong track record of scientific accomplishment and extramural funding.  We seek an outstanding investigator to join our interdisciplinary research team that is focused on understanding key mechanisms of cancer biology and translating this understanding into novel therapeutic and diagnostic approaches.  New faculty will be supported with competitive start-up packages, laboratory space, access to laboratory animal facilities, and a wide range of state-of-the-art core facilities. The successful candidate is expected to initiate and maintain a vigorous, independent, extramurally funded research program, and participate in the training of medical and graduate students and postdoctoral and clinical fellows. The Yale Cancer Center is dedicated to the development and advancement of biomedical research to eliminate cancer and provides a unique environment for conducting innovative basic, translational, population, and clinical research. This successful candidate will be a full member of the Yale Center for Molecular & Cellular Oncology and will also have a collaborating relationship with the Yale Cancer Biology Institute.
