The Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology & Therapeutics beginning July 1st 2021 or as soon thereafter as possible. The appointment will be at a rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD and several years of postdoctoral experience with strong demonstrated experience in clinical pharmacology.  Areas of research of interest are clinical pharmacology (e.g. design of clinical trials) or pediatric research or drug safety and effectiveness, or a combination thereof. The Rady Faculty of Health Sciences has strong interdisciplinary and translational research teams in several areas of pediatrics including asthma, cancer, neurodevelopmental disorders and type 2 diabetes. The successful candidate is expected to develop an independently funded research program within the department and collaborate with clinical departments and, it is hoped, the research teams described above. The selected individual will also contribute to the teaching of pharmacology at the undergraduate and graduate levels. In addition, supervision of masters and PhD graduate students is required as is a certain level of academic service for the University.
