Res Post Doc Fellow - Department of Pathology- Laboratory of Dr. Paul Gadue
We are seeking a highly motivated individual for a postdoctoral position in the Department of Pathology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. The Paul Gadue lab focuses on using human embryonic stem cell and iPS cell models to study human pancreatic development and diabetes. The NIH funded position aims to use the human ES/iPS system to study monogenic forms of diabetes using genome engineered stem cell lines. Applicants must have a PhD or MD degree in the biological or physical sciences. Prior laboratory experience in cell culture is required, with basic molecular biology and flow cytometry experience preferred. The position is available Fall of 2020, with some flexibility for a later start date.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct independent scholarly research and develop new methods and protocols
- Participate in project planning, recording and evaluation of data
- Acquire technical, lab management and grant writing skills
- Participate in seminars, lectures, poster sessions and presentation at national meetings
- Supervise junior lab members
- Assist with other research projects
Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations
Required Education and Experience
- A terminal degree PhD, MD, DVM, etc.
- According to the CMS (Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services) a copy of diploma or transcript is required as proof of academic achievement for all non-laboratory personnel performing non-waived POC testing
Preferred Education, Experience & Cert/Lic
Additional Technical Requirements
All CHOP employees who work in a patient building or who provide patient care are required to receive an annual influenza vaccine unless they are granted a medical or religious exemption.
