ROLE SUMMARY
This position is for a clinical pharmacologist to join the Clinical Pharmacology group in Groton, CT or Collegeville, PA to support projects in the Inflammation and Immunology therapy area. The colleague will initially work under the guidance of a Clinical Pharmacology Lead (CPL) to provide required clinical pharmacology inputs on drug development projects, and is expected to eventually grow into the role of a CPL. The successful candidate will have strong quantitative pharmacology skills with hands-on experience in the implementation of common software tools (e.g., NONMEM, R, SAS, WinBUGS) for PK and PK/PD analyses. Self-motivation, strong scientific reasoning and communication (both verbal and writing) skills, and the ability to function effectively in a team environment are highly desirable.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidate will be working primarily with CPL to support development projects in Immunology and Inflammation, including designs of the clinical pharmacology or clinical studies, establishing PK/PD plans, performing PK/PD analysis, reporting results, writing Clin Pharm sections of the CSR, supporting the development of submission documents (briefing book, NDA, MAA, etc). The candidate will be responsible for designing/planning Clinical Pharmacology studies in collaboration with other team members.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • PhD with 0, PharmD with 1 year, OR MS with 3+ years of experience.
  • The candidate should have demonstrable skills in quantitative clinical pharmacology, including hands-on implementation of tools such as NONMEM, R, SAS, or WinBUGS for data analysis and handling.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for the role.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Post-doctoral training in quantitative clinical pharmacology in an academic, industry, or regulatory setting.
