The Division of Cardiology, Medical College of Wisconsin Department of Pediatrics, is actively recruiting a Tenure Track Cardiovascular Researcher to join our pediatric cardiology program within The Herma Heart Institute. Academic rank will be at the Assistant Professor Level.

The Children’s Wisconsin and Medical College of Wisconsin/Froedtert Hospital campus boasts an active community of multidisciplinary researchers and clinicians actively engaged in collaborative discovery science using cutting edge approaches to understand the underpinnings of pediatric and adult cardiovascular disease and develop more effective clinical care.

The ideal candidate will be recruited by the Herma Heart Institute and be expected to develop and maintain an innovative research program in pediatric cardiovascular research within the Children’s Research Institute. When applying, the candidate should have active extramural funding (NIH, AHA, etc.) and demonstrate a strong publication record. We are seeking applicants with a desire to work closely with basic science and clinical collaborators on campus, and mentor the next generation of trainees within the Herma Heart Institute at Children’s Wisconsin and Medical College of Wisconsin. The successful candidate will have access to excellent laboratory space within an enriched cardiovascular research environment, outstanding shared resources and core facilities, administrative support, and competitive start-up funding.

Children’s Wisconsin is a 306 bed, tertiary care center that has 10 ranked Children’s Specialties in the most recent national U.S. News rankings.  Our freestanding hospital is dedicated solely to the care of children. Children’s Wisconsin is part of the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center Campus, along with the Medical College of Wisconsin and Froedtert Hospital. It is a major teaching affiliate of the Medical College and is affiliated with several schools of nursing.  Children’s Wisconsin is one of the busiest pediatric hospitals in the country. It is a Level I Trauma Center and houses 13 inpatient units including a 72-bed pediatric intensive care unit, a 69-bed Level IV neonatal intensive care unit and an eight-bed Level IV Epilepsy Monitoring unit.
