Position Summary
The Diamond Laboratory, https://www.cityofhope.org/people/diamond-don in the Dept. of Hematology and HCT has an exciting opportunity for a Staff Scientist with expertise in immuno-oncology focusing on solid tumor research. There are several projects that have longstanding interest in the laboratory, especially studies of pancreatic cancer in mouse models, and human clinical research. An investigator-initiated clinical trial has been proposed in which the immune modulator Lenvatinib, combined with Pembroluzimab, will be studied in stable pancreatic patients. The Diamond Laboratory will study correlates of clinical success, including flow cytometry, RNA analysis using nano-string technology, and examination of clinical markers of response translated into animal models of pancreatic cancer. There are legacy studies of p53 vaccines that are mainly clinical studies with opportunities in deriving new vaccine constructs using our proprietary platform. Relevant publications from our group include PLoS One 114(9):e0221810, 2019; CGT, 27:235-245, 2020; CTO 3:363-372, 2019; CCR 24:1315-1325, 2018; bioRxiv - DOI.org/10.1101/2020.07.01.183236.
