The Division of Research in the Department of Pathology at LSU Health Shreveport (https://bit.ly/3kl4wXO) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. The faculty member will join an internationally recognized research group with close ties to the Center for Cardiovascular Diseases and Sciences (https://bit.ly/34lx3qD). Investigators within the Pathology Department and cardiovascular center focus on diverse research areas, including atherosclerotic plaque formation, peripheral artery disease, heart failure, diabetes, neurovascular function/stroke, microvascular dysfunction, and redox-dependent control of cardiovascular disease. Candidates must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree, relevant post-doctoral experience, an outstanding publication record, and a research focus in the area of cardiovascular disease. Successful candidates will be expected to establish a dynamic, extramurally-funded research program addressing fundamental questions in cardiovascular biology while participating in the teaching mission of Department. They will have access to state of the art core facilities and access to intramural research funding through the Center for Cardiovascular Diseases and Sciences.
