Global Commercial Product Strategy

For over 30 years, Gilead has been a leading innovator in treating and preventing HIV and we developed today's leading medicines for treating viral hepatitis. But this expertise is just a foundation for our ambitions. In this role, you will drive the global marketing strategy and implementation for a clinical-stage immunotherapy, in hematologic malignancies. From product launch strategy, leading marketing tactics, you'll be providing insights and partnering with local markets, Medical Affairs, Value and Access, Commercial Operations, Public Affairs to execute an integrated, global strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Commercial Product Strategy, Oncology, this role will:
  • Execute the commercial strategic vision in select hematologic malignancies, balancing near-term and long-term priorities
  • Execute global launch campaigns, including differentiating strategy, unique branding, compelling positioning and key messaging that establish our global market position in new disease areas
  • Lead launch tactics with cross functional partners including unbranded and global branded campaigns, brand name development, KOL advisory boards and global digital tactics
  • Manage partnership with agencies to ensure flawless execution and budget management
  • Partner with Indication Leadership Teams, and major markets to solicit local insights, share global perspectives and integrate into global brand execution.
  • Conduct strategic marketing activities including market and competitive research and product positioning in close collaboration with cross-commercial disciplines
  • Identify actionable insights based on market research and ensure that the product / brand addresses unmet need areas
  • Work closely with Global Analytics and Insights to conduct market research and develop preliminary forecast assumptions to assess opportunities and quantify launch potential
  • Your ultimate benchmark will be the successful execution of a global commercial strategy that maximizes the overall value of the asset and patient access across the product life-cycle

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

We're seeking a strategic, influential leader and experienced global marketer with:
  • At least 12+ Years with BS/BA or 10+ Years with MS/MA or MBA of relevant commercial experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry
  • Substantial global commercial launch experience and global market knowledge, Oncology experience preferred
  • Substantial experience in global commercial planning, including developing differentiated brand positioning and messaging, and leading global marketing tactics
  • Demonstrated ability to conceive, develop and implement multi-dimensional marketing and business plans, including branded and unbranded campaign development and tactical planning and budgeting
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence and work successfully with varied audiences and executives
  • Strong analytical skills demonstrated by the ability to identify and interpret complex issues and provide appropriate recommendations to senior management and across functional areas
  • B.A. or B.S. required, MBA and/or advanced degree in life sciences or medical degree preferred
