Director, Commercial Operations - Nordics

Gilead's therapeutic areas of focus include HIV/AIDS, liver diseases, cancer and inflammation, and serious respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.

Gilead Sciences Nordics, with approximately 80 employees, has its main office in Stockholm, where the role is based, and is responsible for the company's operations in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Iceland.

To support our expansion into new therapeutic areas, we are now seeking a Director, Commercial Operations, reporting to the General Manager Nordics. In this role, you will be part of the Nordic Management team and responsible for the Business Analytics and Commercial Excellence activities across the Nordics. In your team you have 2 direct reports: Business Analyst Manager and Multi-Channel Effectiveness. We are looking for an advanced expert and experienced leader who will manage projects of significant complexity, requiring substantial cross-functional collaboration.

This exciting role will offer an opportunity to play an important role in developing and implementing our strategy in areas such as customer engagement, multichannel communication and field-force excellence.

Key responsibilities:

• Responsible for Business Analytics activities for all Therapeutic areas (insight generation, patient modelling & forecasting, ensure our strategic KPIs are measured and reported in a relevant way)
• Responsible for advancing the digital strategy & roadmap for the Nordics, educating and inspiring the rest of the organization to adopt and integrate digital activities
• Lead the development and maintenance of digital infrastructure to enable digital customer-facing activities throughout the local affiliate
• Advancing our CRM/customer engagement strategy, drive operational excellence in our customer interactions
• Act as the key point of contact for the Commercial operations team in our European hub
• Drive various projects involving Commercial operations
• Be a strategic key player in the management team
• Provide leadership to the Commercial operations team in the Nordics

Knowledge, Experience & Skills:

• Master's Degree in business administration, economics, finance, natural sciences or related fields
• Prior people management experience in a commercial role is highly desired
• Requires an in-depth knowledge of business analytics processes and tools, and an ability to proactively identify issues and opportunities, and recommend solutions through analysis
• Solid experience and understanding of commercial processes in an international pharmaceutical company
• Ability to proactively recognize and interpret business issues/opportunities and recommend solutions through analysis.
• Ideally marketing and sales leadership experience with a commercial mindset.
• Excellent influencing, communication and presentation skills - fluent in verbal and written English
• Strong interpersonal skills are needed with the ability to lead and build working relationships internally and externally
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets is required
