The Vanderbilt University Department of Biological Sciences and the Vanderbilt Brain Institute invite applications for a tenure-track, faculty position in Molecular and Cellular Neuroscience at the Assistant Professor rank. We are seeking outstanding scientists with an interdisciplinary perspective addressing fundamental questions in neurobiology at a mechanistic level. The successful candidate will develop an independent research program broadly within the area of molecular and cellular neuroscience that complements current departmental strengths (https://as.vanderbilt.edu/biosci/) and will have an integral role in the trans-institutional Vanderbilt Brain Institute (https://medschool.vanderbilt.edu/brain-institute/), which supports basic science and clinical research, education/training, and outreach. Selection criteria include excellence in neuroscience research and the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate students at a high level of effectiveness.
