Responsibilities

A postdoctoral fellow position is available in the newly established Campbell Lab at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle. Potential projects will combine structural biology, biophysics and cell biology to characterize membrane proteins and complexes involved in cell communication and motility. The Campbell lab specializes in cryoEM, however previous cryoEM experience is not required. Target start date is negotiable.

 

Qualifications

  • PhD in biochemistry, biophysics, cell biology, or a related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Independent, self-motivated, and able to work in a collaborative atmosphere
  • Previous experience with mammalian cell expression or membrane protein biochemistry preferred
