The teaching load is four courses per year for the first two years and five courses per year thereafter, with a one-semester leave every four years.

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in biology or a relevant field; post-doctoral experience is preferred. The successful candidate is expected to establish a productive research program involving undergraduates.  The Department is especially interested in candidates who, through their research, teaching, and service, will contribute to the diversity of the academic community.
