Human germline and gonadal development: Postdoctoral positions are available

The Sasaki lab is a newly established laboratory, which opened in September 2018. We are looking for highly motivated postdoctoral fellows related to our primary research goals that are directed toward understanding the basis of human germline and gonadal development and their reconstitution in vitro.

We aim at establishing methods to derive fertile human sperm in dish in next five years.

Through this process, we will characterize the lineage trajectories of developing human germ cells and the accompanying epigenetic regulation, the specification of human gonadal somatic cells and molecular interplays between gonadal somatic cells and germ cells.

Our studies on human germ cells and gonadogenesis will transform human reproduction and help humanity thrive in the future.

Ph.D. and/or M.D. scientists trained in any fields of biology are welcome. Candidates with a background of bioinformatics/computational biology are particularly encouraged to apply. Any interested individuals should send their CV and a summary of research accomplishments to:  ksasaki@upenn.edu
