RIKEN invites applications for the position of Researcher (indefinite -term employment position)  in the following research area.

The Spin Isospin Laboratory is investigating experimental nuclear physics at the RI Beam Factory and, in parallel, conducting interdisciplinary researches based on nuclear polarization technique which was originally developed for nuclear physics experiments. In particular, we are focusing on development of the triplet-DNP technique, which can be applied to high temperature and low magnetic fields, and its applications to polarization targets in particle and nuclear physics experiments and to sensitivity enhancement in NMR and MRI for life and material sciences.

Job Description
The successful candidate will lead any of the following studies using dynamic nuclear polarization: spin physics in the field of particle and nuclear physics, quantum physics and technology research using polarized nuclei, and life/material science research using high sensitivity NMR and MRI. In addition, he/she will contribute to development of dynamic nuclear polarization techniques. He/she is expected to conduct research and development on topics specified above and to contribute to the management of the laboratory.
