The Center for Molecular and Translational is seeking to a postdoctoral position in the laboratory of Dr. Ming-Hui Zou at the Center for Molecular and Translational Medicine, Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA. Responsibilities include providing specialized technical assistance to the laboratory personnel, performing research experiments, and assisting in the writing and submission of research grants to extramural funding agencies. Qualified individuals must have a Ph.D degree or equivalent in Cell Biology, Biochemistry or a related field, and have a broad background in the area of cardiovascular science, metabolism, and cell signaling. Applicants should possess the expertise for a wide variety of histological methodologies including single/double/triple immunohistochemistry, mitochondrial biology, cell biology, small animal surgery techniques. Candidates with strong molecular and cell biology training, a strong interest in research, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently are a plus.
