The Rajao/Perez Lab in the Department of Population Health at the University of Georgia is recruiting a highly motivated postdoctoral scholar to work in viral immunology. Our laboratory uses a wide range of in vitro and in vivo approaches to study influenza interspecies transmission, pathogenesis, and develop or improve methods for the control of influenza viruses. We have developed several vaccine platforms against influenza viruses or SARS-CoV-2. The postdoc candidates will work directly with immunology experiments to evaluate the response of the vaccines developed by the lab and will also be involved with other projects in the lab. The postdoctoral associates will work with an international collaborative group of students, postdocs and researchers and interact with many other virologists at the University of Georgia and other national and international collaborators. The University of Georgia is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, ethnicity, age, genetic information, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation or protected veteran status.  Persons needing accommodations or assistance with the accessibility of materials related to this search are encouraged to contact Central HR (hrweb@uga.edu).
