Infectious Diseases Research Faculty at Massachusetts General Hospital
Massachusetts General Hospital’s Division of Infectious Diseases offers patient-centered, innovative, and comprehensive patient care and patient-inspired research focused on infectious diseases. The Division now seeks to add an outstanding Scientist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, with a cutting-edge interest in infectious diseases-related research. We seek to attract an active and diverse faculty aligned with the mission of the Division.
We are looking for candidates who would broadly extend the basic discovery or computational capabilities of our Division, with a focus on collaborative questions in pathogenesis, pathogen evolution, vaccine development, or therapeutic design. We would especially encourage applications from those with expertise in human immunology, cellular biology, pathogen evolution, structural biology, and molecular epidemiology. The successful applicant will be expected to establish an extramurally funded research program, collaborate with members of the Division, and to contribute to training and developing research fellows. The new faculty member will have the opportunity to participate in strong Division and Hospital wide educational efforts.
The candidate’s appointment will be in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the Massachusetts General Hospital with an academic appointment at Harvard Medical School. Salary, start-up, and lab space will be commensurate with experience, training, and achievements. Suitable candidates have an MD, PhD, MD-PhD, or equivalent.
