Department of Inflammation & Immunity

Faculty Recruitment

The Department of Inflammation & Immunity in the Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Institute is conducting a search for new faculty members at the Assistant Professor academic level to develop research programs in innate and/or adaptive immune responses. Candidates must hold a Ph.D., M.D., or both.

We seek to recruit talented individuals with innovative ideas and models to explore new areas in immunology and inflammatory processes that have implications for human health. The applicant should have expertise in animal models and/or human experimental systems that address significant and fundamental questions using cellular, molecular or computational approaches. The successful candidate will establish and direct an independent research program in a collegial and collaborative environment. The Lerner Research Institute offers an outstanding mentorship for young faculty members, competitive start up and salary support, as well as world class facilities and core services.

We will focus on applicants with new approaches and skillsets to complement and synergize with the growing programs in basic and translational research within the Department that include: chronic inflammatory diseases, innate host defense, adaptive immunity, signaling networks, metabolism, and mucosal, cancer and transplant immunology.

We expect that the applicants will have rigorous training in immunobiology and/or synergistic areas as well as an outstanding track record of accomplishment during their graduate student and postdoctoral training. The Department is particularly interested in qualified candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community. Applicants should send a cover letter, a short narrative of research accomplishments, interests and future plans, their curriculum vitae, and the names of three referees for letters of reference to Kelsey Duhaime, duhaimk@ccf.org.

Cleveland Clinic is pleased to be an equal employment/affirmative action employer: Women/ Minorities/Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities. Smoke/drug free environment.
