If so, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) is seeking an Associate Director for Management. The incumbent will serve as the principal advisor to the Institute Director and senior staff on all phases of administrative management involved in operating the Institute in support of science including administrative, financial and human capital management; management analysis; information technology; procurement; ethics; workforce management; and technology transfer.  The incumbent functions as the Institute’s Executive Officer and manages administrative organizations that provide critical support to scientists as they conduct and support biomedical research to improve the health of the American people. The incumbent serves as a key member of the senior management team in developing, implementing, and evaluating the organization’s programs.

We are looking for applicants who have a commitment to managerial excellence and the energy, enthusiasm, and innovative thinking necessary to lead within a dynamic and diverse organization. The successful candidate for this position will be appointed at a salary of $131,239 to $197,300. Full Federal benefits, including leave, health and life insurance, retirement, and savings plan (401K equivalent), will be provided.
