Postdoctoral opportunities are available to study cell signaling that controls growth and metabolism, and the role in cancer biology and therapy. Through genetic and genomic approaches using yeast as a model organism, we have identified a large panel of genes involved in mTOR pathway. Our current efforts are directed at understanding their functions in normal physiology and cancer in various models, including genetically engineered mice and patient-derived models. We are further interested in how aberrant alterations influence therapeutic outcomes. Rutgers University is conveniently located in the desirable New York City metropolitan area. It offers state-of-the-art facilities, and highly interactive and stimulating scientific environment. We seek highly motivated individuals with a recent PhD degree in molecular cellular biology, cancer biology, pharmacology or other related biological sciences. Individuals with experience with mouse models and liver diseases are especially desired. Applicants should send a CV and names of three references to: zhengst@cinj.rutgers.edu
