The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center seeks applications from faculty candidates who will contribute to the diversity and excellence of our community of scholars. Located in Seattle, Washington, Fred Hutch is one of the world's leading academic research centers. At Fred Hutch we believe that the innovation, collaboration, and rigor that result from diversity, equity, and inclusion are critical to our mission of eliminating cancer, infectious diseases, and understanding mechanisms of disease. Fred Hutch is in pursuit of becoming an antiracist organization. We are thus committed to diversifying our faculty ranks.

In keeping with our commitment, Fred Hutch invites applications for an inaugural cohort of up to five faculty members in any discipline related to cancer, infectious disease, or basic biology research. We seek individuals who will actively contribute to our core values of diversity, openness, innovation, and scientific excellence. Scientists and clinician-scientists, particularly those from diverse backgrounds, are encouraged to apply at all academic ranks, Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor. We are seeking faculty members who bring new ways of seeing the world and solving problems. We are committed to ensuring that all candidates hired share our commitment to diversity, antiracism, and inclusion. Successful candidates for this faculty search will be those who demonstrate a commitment to these principles. For more information about the Hutch’s diversity, equity, and inclusion work visit: https://www.fredhutch.org/diversity

Successful candidates will be invited to join one or more of Fred Hutch’s five scientific divisions: Basic Science, Clinical Research, Human Biology, Public Health Sciences, and Vaccine and Infectious Disease. Faculty will join a supportive and highly collaborative environment. In addition, Fred Hutch has outstanding facilities and cutting-edge shared resources to support faculty. It also has strong ties with its consortium partners which include the University of Washington, the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, and Seattle Children’s Hospital. Graduate students are drawn from various departments and programs at the University of Washington.
