A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratories of Jeremy Boss, PhD and Christopher Scharer, PhD in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Emory University School of Medicine. The candidate will work with a dynamic team of immunologists to perform urgently needed research on: i) the epigenetic regulation of memory B cell responses in murine influenza models; ii) B cell dysfunction in human autoimmune diseases; iii) immune responses to SARS-CoV-2 in adults and pediatric cohorts; and iv) role of epigenetic modifying complexes and transcription factors in plasma cell differentiation. Successful candidates will be highly self-motivated, have a strong work ethic, and have excellent organization and communication skills. A PhD degree in the biological sciences and expertise in immunology, epigenetics, or a related field is required. Experience with animal models, molecular biology, bioinformatics, cellular immunology, next-gen sequencing workflows and/or human sample collection and culture is preferred.
Excellent scientific writing ability and strong oral communication skills. The ability to work effectively and collegially with colleagues. Additional qualifications as specified by the Principal Investigator.
